Queer in STEM Workshop 2026

Postdoc Centre, University of Cambridge, Eddington, Cambridge, 22nd23rd Sep 2026

Accessibility

We are working our hardest to ensure that this event is fully accessible to as many LGBTQ+ scientists as possible. At present this looks like:

  • Our venue (The Postdoc Centre, Eddington) is fully wheelchair accessible, and installed with a hearing loop.
  • We will be providing BSL Interpretation for the duration of the event.
  • We will have a Quiet Space where people can escape to and take a break if needed.
  • To support the attendance of immunocompromised guests and speakers, we will have airflow throughout the room during some sessions, and will provide COVID tests and N95 masks for voluntary use by attendees. We encourage attendees who have flu-like symptoms to test, mask, and consider not attending for the safety of other attendees.
  • We have funds to cover some travel to and from Cambridge, please apply here.

The RSC also offers accessibility grants and grants for carers, that can be used for equipment, services or personal expenses needed to meet your access needs.

If you want to attend, and have other access requirements that aren't listed here, please get in touch with us at queerinstemworkshop@ch.cam.ac.uk.
